I hit the CHWE Shenzhen Expo every single year. The sheer volume of exhibitors and product categories they pack into the exhibition center is always staggering. I usually only have a few hours to spare between dealing with ongoing shipments. I have to be incredibly ruthless with my time on the floor.

My main focus is always checking on the specific items our clients are already buying. I look for any subtle manufacturing changes or new variations. I share these updates directly with our clients so they can adjust their upcoming purchasing plans. It makes managing their future orders a lot smoother.
While walking the aisles, I also make sure to vet a few new factories. We always need solid backup suppliers on standby. If a current factory suddenly drops the ball on an ISO 2859-1 AQL inspection] or extends their lead time, I can swap them out immediately. Our clients rarely even feel the hiccup. You have to prepare for the worst in this industry.

I also keep a close eye on our core categories to spot any new product iterations. Tracking raw material fluctuations and pricing shifts right on the exhibition floor is crucial. Having that fresh data gives us a real edge when negotiating bulk orders for the next quarter.

Before leaving, I squeezed into one of the industry forums. It is always helpful to sit in the back and listen to what the market is actually worrying about.
If you need someone on the ground to vet your suppliers and build a backup plan, send me a message.
